Our Rehabilitation Services team works hard to help patients resume independent living. Physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists work closely with other members of the medical team to ensure that each patient receives the highest quality medical care and experiences a comfortable and enjoyable stay to hasten recovery.
We provide both inpatient and outpatient therapy services to patients of all ages. Our newly renovated facility offers a spacious, comfortable setting with state-of-the-art equipment and is designed to meet all of our patients' therapy needs.
Individual therapies work together and emphasize different living skills:
- Physical therapists work with residents on walking, balance, endurance, strength, wound care and pain management.
- Occupational therapists focus on activities of daily living, retraining residents who need to relearn how to perform routine tasks such as dressing and grooming.
- Speech and language pathologists help residents who need to regain their ability to communicate their needs and thoughts and to safely swallow foods and beverages.
The therapy teams at Amelia Nursing & Rehabilitation Center have completed intensive clinical training and regularly attend continuing education courses. They are qualified to treat orthopedic, neurological and general medical or surgical conditions.
